Shri. P.S.Murty

P.S. Murty is a distinguished HSE, Sustainability, and ESG leader with over 39 years of extensive experience in the oil & gas and energy sector. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from AU College of Engineering (1981–1985), he retired in June 2025 as Executive Director (I/C) – HSE & Sustainability, Corporate at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), headquartered in Mumbai.

During his tenure at HPCL, he led the corporation’s Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, and ESG functions at the corporate level, directly reporting to the Chairman & Managing Director. He played a pivotal role in strengthening safety culture, sustainability initiatives, and ESG integration across the organization.

Mr. Murty has significant expertise in the development and execution of cross-country pipelines, LPG bottling plants, import facilities, and petroleum product storage infrastructure across India. His leadership and people management capabilities were recognized with the prestigious “HP Icon – The People Manager Award” in 2010.

He is currently engaged as an independent professional and advisor in the domains of HSE, Sustainability, and ESG, contributing his vast industry knowledge and strategic insights to organizations and industry initiatives.
